Ruby Scoops Real Fruit Ice Cream was started in Christchurch in 2025 out of a love for summer, ice cream, fresh fruit, and creating moments that make people smile.

The girl behind the name
Ruby Scoops is named after our RottyxRidgeback Ruby. Always ready for an adventure (and never one to turn down a treat!), Ruby inspired a business built around joy, connection and making memories.
Her playful spirit is at the heart of everything we do, and she's the reason you'll spot little paw prints and plenty of dog-friendly touches along the way.

I'm the owner, chief scooper and the face behind Ruby Scoops Real Fruit Ice Cream Christchurch.
I wanted to create something that combined my love of great food and bringing people together. Ruby Scoops is my way of sharing with the Canterbury community one fresh, fruity scoop at a time.

When the biggest events come around, Alesha’s other half, Sam, is always ready to lend a hand. With his infectious enthusiasm, Sam handles the busiest days with a smile. Whether he’s helping scoop ice cream or chatting to families queuing up at the trailer, Sam brings extra energy to every event.
